José Aponte, lecturer in the College of Music and director of the Latin Jazz Lab, Afro-Cuban Ensemble, and Brazilian ensemble, led a study abroad trip to Puerto Rico this summer to his native Puerto Rico. In this interview in Spanish on the program "Musica Mundi" with Prof. Emanuel Dufrasne González on the Universidad de Puerto Rico's Radio Universidad, he speaks about the UNT Jazz Studies program and his efforts to promote the art of Latin Jazz at UNT and spread awareness in Puerto Rico about what is happening at UNT.
