UNT Wins Jazz Combo Competition
The Fort Worth Arts Council held a "People's Choice" Jazz Combo Competition at Scat Lounge on Monday, September 17, 2012. The council members voted UNT as the number one Jazz Combo.
UNT Professor of Jazz Keyboard, Stefan Karlsson, entered a group of students to represent UNT. The group members are:
Addison Frei, keyboard
Nick Salvucci, saxophone
Stuart Mack, trumpet
Perrin Grace, bass
Matt Young, drums
These students will go on to represent the UNT Jazz Studies Division with a performance on November 30, 2012 at "Jazz Up the Night: Arts Council Toast of the Town Young Patrons Party" held at the Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth.
