Lecture series guest artist Steve Davis played with Benjamin Haugland (piano), Mikel Combs (bass), and Sean Jones (drums) in the morning session, and Jiri Levicek (piano), Ryan Hagler (bass), and Ross Pederson (drums) in the afternoon on March 4, 2008.

Lead trumpet player and alumnus Frank Greene was the Jazz Lecture Series Guest Artist on March 11, 2008. Students found his talk on building a career both practical and inspiring.
