Gospel Meets Jazz Features Cynthia Scott

Brad Leali's Gospel Meets Jazz 2015 concert features vocalist Cynthia Scott with the Three O'Clock Lab Band. The concert is at 5 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 15 in Voertman Hall in the music building. Admission is free. It will be livestreamed.

U-Tubes win International Trombone Association 2015 Kai Winding Jazz Trombone Ensemble Competition

I am proud to announce that the U-Tubes have won the International Trombone Association 2015 Kai Winding Jazz Trombone Ensemble Competition! They will be traveling to Valencia, Spain in July to perform a feature concert at the 2015 International Trombone Festival!

Rich DeRosa and WDR Big Band play holiday concert

Michael League Q&A on Dec. 4, 2014

Michael League will hold a Q&A on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Kenton Hall (room 282 in the UNT College of Music building). Admission is free.

Michael League is a Grammy Award-winning bassist, guitarist, composer, arranger, producer, label owner, and bandleader based out of Brooklyn, New York.

Works by Karns and Zaremba in JEN Student Composition Showcase

Keith Karns, current doctoral student, and Drew Zaremba, current master's student, have had their works selected for the Jazz Education Network Student Composition Showcase, which will happen during the Jazz Education Network annual conference in San Diego in January 2015.
