This swinging rendition of the theme from the children’s hit television show was arranged in 1971 by Gene Puerling and recorded by The Singers Unlimited with the Oscar Peterson Trio on their album In Tune (and contained in the Magic Voices box set). This is NOT a transcription, but an authentic edition created from the handwritten manuscript of Gene Puerling. The fun-loving nature of the song is maintained from the original television show theme song, with up to six parts in the ensemble vocal parts. Rhythm section parts are written in classic jazz notation, with a mix of slashes/rhythmic notation with chord symbols and some essential notes and guidelines, capturing the essence of the OP Trio’s performance.
